Multi-vendor marketplace development

Most of what I ship is some flavour of marketplace — two sides, a catalog in the middle, and money moving between them. I've built them for fashion, events, auto parts, mentorship, services and cross-border delivery, in Arabic and English, end to end.

What I build

01Vendor onboarding, verification and KYC flows
02Catalog, search and category/attribute filtering that scales
03Order lifecycle — cart, checkout, fulfilment, disputes
04Multi-vendor split payouts and commission models
05Operations admin and a vendor self-service panel
06Native apps, web, and the .NET 8 API behind them

Common questions

Can you build a marketplace from scratch as an MVP?

Yes — I scope a focused first version (one side's core loop, the payment rail, and a thin admin) and ship it, then layer vendors, payouts and moderation as it grows. RoutineCare and Zngah were built full-stack this way.

How do split payouts to vendors work?

I model the ledger first — every order knows its splits, fees and payout state — then wire the gateway (Paymob, Stripe Connect, or local rails). Lahtha and several others run on a split-payout model I designed.

Do you handle both the apps and the backend?

Yes. The marketplaces I've shipped include the native/Ionic apps, the operations admin, the vendor panel, and the .NET 8 clean-architecture API — one engineer across the whole stack.
